Teammate Spotlight: Meet Gary!

Gary has been helping out Apria's Sleep and Respiratory patients in North Carolina for an impressive 32 years. He has worked as a General Manager for a local Apria Branch as well as serving in the Respiratory Therapist capacity. He answered some questions on Apria, his time here, and offered up a bit about himself. Here's what he had to say:

Why did you join Apria and what makes you stay?
I started my career at a local medical center and eventually the opportunity came before me to transition to Homecare, and I felt that I could make a positive impact on patients' lives by helping them at home. It's been 32 years and I cannot imagine doing anything else, this has been a great fit for me. Apria has been good to me, and for me.

Why are you proud to work at Apria?

I am proud to work at Apria because it's a reputable, dependable, reliable homecare staple in our community — and I've had the pleasure of being part of that for over 30 years.

Apria is first on the minds of those in need of durable medical equipment, respiratory equipment and services because of our reputation of taking good care of our patients.

How would you describe your job to someone outside of Apria?

From a grass-roots perspective, I assist patients and caregivers with their sleep and respiratory needs so that they can sleep better, breathe better and have a more quality-driven life.

What are some things you like to do in your free time?

I spend my free time serving in my local church and working in my yard. I also love to spend quality time with my best friend and spouse, Kim.
