Darlene works out of Connecticut and has been with Apria for 10 years. She spends her time here speaking directly with patients and took a moment to explain what she does, what she likes about it, and gave some personal information about how she likes to spend her time outside of work:
I originally joined Apria in 2003 working in the call centers for Humana and Cigna patients. I left for a while to further my education and completed my associate degree in health science. Once I graduated, an Apria employee I worked with in the past reached out to me, so I came back! I have just celebrated my 10 year anniversary this past October.
I came back, and stay at Apria because I have been allowed to go in the direction I want and to excel in a field I enjoy. I work with some amazing, caring people. I am proud we are helping to better the lives of our patients in their homes. It has been proven that people at home not only have a better quantity of life but also quality.
I address issues our patients experience and help to resolve them by any means necessary, often including assistance from branch team leads and managers. I also work in correcting billing errors submitted by our Kaiser servicing branches.
I love to garden, spend time with friends & family, and cook (which is my love language)!
Any beach is a dream vacation for me.
