Teammate Spotlight: Meet Arnold!
Arnold has been a Registered Respiratory Therapist here at Apria for an impressive 24 years. Arnold spoke a bit about his time here and what he enjoys when he's not helping our patients in Eastern Pennsylvania:
Why did you join Apria and what makes you stay?
In the late 1990's, home healthcare was the footprint for care. I joined Apria to be able to work with patients in their own setting, their homes.
I stay at Apria because I enjoy being able to provide patients with respiratory care throughout their treatment journey. I appreciate the continuity of care that home healthcare provides to patients and see how beneficial it is for those who we help treat.
Why are you proud to work at Apria?
I'm proud to work at Apria because every day we are providing excellent healthcare to patients where they are the most comfortable. We help patients obtain a quality of life at home.
How would you describe your job to someone outside of Apria?
I provide respiratory treatment to patients of all ages and other barriers. Whether that be disease education, device assistance and setup, coordinating treatments with the patient's care team; I am helping the patient throughout their care journey.
What are some things you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy the outdoors, boating and camping are two of my favorite things to do while I'm not at work. I also enjoy cooking for the days I stay inside.
