Laura, "Pepper" Hendryx is a Market Sales Trainer and Wound Nurse here at Apria, a position she has held for 9 years. Pepper told us a bit about herself and her time at Apria, here's what she had to say:
My team and I assist our physicians who in turn help their patients adopt a better way of life through the therapies we provide to them. These therapies will allow them a better quality of life, a chance to breath freely, a chance to heal properly and just get back to a somewhat normal life.
I wanted to be part of a team that makes a difference in a patient's life each and every day.
I am proud to be part of the Apria team, which I also call my family, and that we strive to put the patient first to help start the process of healing at home. With the education we provide to our referrals and also to the patients, it gives them a peace of mind that someone is there for them. Apria provides such passion and care for all of its patients, not just for one day of setup but each and everyday, 24/7. That is what I am most proud to speak about.
I love to take pictures, I am like the paparazzi, always taking pictures when you least expect it. My husband is a varsity football coach and he lets me stand on the sidelines and take pictures of the players so the parents can enjoy them for free. I love going to the games and supporting his teams along with the teams that my grandchildren play on as well. I love riding my bike in the summer and when we get a chance to get away we go to the Smokey Mountains to hike and walk around and look for bears.
I would love one day to go to Hawaii, maybe when I slow down I will get there.
