Average wholesale pricing
An average wholesale price is the average of "all" prices nationally for a particular drug/manufacturer. The information to determine the averages is provided by companies such as Medispan, Redbook and other pharmaceutical resources that publish reference books illustrating the national average wholesale prices based on information received from manufacturers, distributors and other suppliers.
