-- Brookshire's Pharmacy is offering a free Senior Health Fair from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Palestine Senior Center located at 125 Kickapoo St.

Brookshire's pharmacy will offer a cholesterol/fasting blood sugar screening; a new list of $4 generic medication with over 400 medications will be discussed.

Brookshire's Grocery Company will provide juice and cookies; Perfect Choice Home Health Care will give blood pressure check and information; American Cancer Society will give information on health, breast and prostate cancer; Area Agency on Aging will give information on Medicare/Medicaid and supplements along with housing information and different services available for people 60+; Monarch Counseling will answer questions on anxiety, grief, depression, relationship issues (spouse, siblings, etc.); Ag. Extension Office will offer information on nutrition and diabetes; Crown Health Services will offer foot care; Dr. Michael Key, chiropractor, will give grip strength testing and exercise information; Horn's Medical Supply will give information on sleep related and breathing disorders; C.O.P.D. Awareness (free scale for the first 20 people); Palestine Regional Medical Center Dietitian will be on hand to give information on special diets; American Heart Association will offer information on diet and heart related problems; American Diabetes Association will offer information on testing, diet and exercise and Trinity Hospitals and Clinics Mother Frances will offer life line devices with free installation.

Door prizes will be given every hour.
