Nov. 7--SALIDA -- Area health leaders will learn how officials in Pueblo and Alamosa have developed innovative pilot programs to provide affordable health care coverage for the working uninsured.
The Heart of Colorado Health and Wellness Task Force is sponsoring the workshop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center, 1000 Rush Drive, in the second floor conference room.
The workshop will help both health care and community leaders learn about the affordable health care coverage for working uninsured from speakers Holly Hanson of HealthAccess Pueblo and Cindy Palmer of San Luis Valley HMO. An afternoon session will focus on creating a health-access model and an action plan for a collaborative project.
