Nov. 4--People began lining up for swine-flu shots at 5 a.m. today at Manchester Center for a shot clinic that wouldn't start until 4 p.m. By mid-afternoon, more than 1,300 were waiting in a line that stretched the length of the Blackstone Avenue side of the mall.
Fresno County health officials said they had plenty of vaccine and that the line would move quickly.
Many of those waiting had chronic health problems or had brought children to the clinic.
Lisa Pasillas, 37, of Fresno and her family got to the mall at 5 a.m. to be first in line.
"I have a heart condition and my kids are asthmatic and my mother has a heart condition and diabetes," Pasiillas said.
For those who missed today's clinic, the Fresno County Department of Public Health will have a clinic tomorrow from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Fresno Retired Teachers Education Center at 3930 E. Saginaw Way.
