Nov. 4--The Skagit County Health Department's flu vaccine clinic is open today, but it only has a limited supply of H1N1 vaccine for certain groups.
The department ran out of the nasal spray vaccine that was available to all healthy persons ages 2 to 49. However, some local pharmacies received shipments and may still have some on hand.
The Skagit clinic still has the injectable vaccine for these groups:
-- Anyone age 6 months to 24 years
-- Paid health care and emergency workers
-- Pregnant women
-- Household contacts and care providers of infants up to 6 months old
Vaccine clinic hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The county is offering the H1N1 vaccine free of charge. Seasonal flu vaccine is $30.
Call the county flu hotline for more information at 360-419-3313.
Some local pharmacies that received vaccine include:
--Safeway in Anacortes and Mount Vernon
--Medicap Pharmacy in Anacortes
--Walgreen's Pharmacy in Anacortes and Sedro-Woolley
--La Conner Drug in La Conner
--Fred Meyer in Burlington
